Growing manual
The set contains shiitake exuberant mycelia sawdust-based substrate packed in
foil bag. Growing: Extract the substrate from the bag and immerse it in water for
24 hours (preferably use water bucket and press the substrate down with heavy
item in order to make it totally immersed), and then place it in a container
covered with a transparent lid. The set should be placed in light location; however
it should not be exposed to direct sunlight. Cultivation temperature should be
maintained at 18ºC to 24ºC. If upon extracting the substrate mushrooms have
been formed then the immersion stage may be skipped. In the course of
formation and growth of mushrooms it is necessary to provide fresh air and high
level of moisture. For this purpose it is necessary to remove the transparent lid
and leave the container open for a short time. To ensure suitable moisture of the
substrate, internal walls of the container may be sprayed with a sprinkler.
Mushrooms are ready to collect when cap edges of the biggest specimens are
starting to straight up. It’s important to collect whole group of mushrooms at the
same time because cutting out only few fruiting bodies and leaving others will
cause their languishment.. Upon completion of harvesting, which lasts for
approximately 2 weeks, all dead remains should be removed from the substrate.
Then the substrate should be placed in a plastic container and left for approximately 14 to 30 days for so-called “stationary phase” in moisten and warm
location. The container equipped with the transparent lid will protect the
substrate against drying.
Upon completion of the stationary phase, the substrate should be re-immersed
in water for 24 hours. The manufacture route shall be carried out 2 to 3 times as
per aforementioned rules.
We wish you fruitful cultivation.
