At GrowMushrooms.eu, we strive to ensure the satisfaction of our customers by providing high-quality mushroom-related products. Due to the nature of our products, especially living mycelium, certain exceptions apply under EU consumer law. Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase.
1. Right of Withdrawal (Cooling-Off Period)
Under EU law (Directive 2011/83/EU), consumers purchasing online have the right to withdraw from the purchase contract within 14 calendar days from the date of delivery without providing any reason.
However, this right does not apply to:
Goods that are perishable or likely to deteriorate rapidly, including living mycelium.
Because our mycelium products are living organisms, they are considered perishable and excluded from the standard right of withdrawal.
For such items, returns or refunds are not accepted based on a change of mind.
2. Defective or Non-Viable Products
While the standard 14-day withdrawal right does not apply to mycelium, all consumers in the EU are protected under the 2-year statutory guarantee for faulty, damaged, or misdescribed goods.
If you receive a product that:
- Is damaged during shipping,
- Does not match the description, or
- Arrives non-viable or dead (in the case of living mycelium),
You are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund, free of charge.
3. Reporting a Faulty or Non-Viable Product
To initiate a claim under the statutory guarantee, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery and provide the following:
- Order number
- Clear photos or videos showing the issue
- (For mycelium) Any available viability test results or observations

After reviewing your claim, we will offer:
- A replacement product, or
- A full refund, including original shipping costs (if applicable)
All refunds will be processed within 14 days using the original payment method.
4. Optional Commercial Returns (Non-Faulty Items)
For non-living products (e.g. packaged dry mushrooms or accessories), we may voluntarily accept returns if:
- The item is unused, unopened, and in original packaging
- You notify us within 14 days of delivery
In such cases, the customer is responsible for:
- Return shipping costs
- Ensuring the product arrives in good condition
Once we receive the returned item and confirm its condition, we will issue a refund (excluding original shipping) within 14 days.
